FAQ

Do you accept my insurance?

Naseeha Psychiatry is not “in-network” with any insurance company. The philosophy of this practice is “direct psychiatric care.”

This model emphasizes physician accountability, first and foremost, to patients and not a “third party” like insurance. For that reason, there is no third party billing.

What is "direct psychiatric care"?

This is an alternative payment model aimed at improving patient access to healthcare with a simple, flat, affordable subscription fee. No third party billing. The main feature of this model is to increase access to your physician, and increase accountability and trust between the patient and doctor. This model emphasizes physician accountability, first and foremost, to patients and not a “third party” like insurance.

The monthly subscription fee gives access to as many appointments as necessary for you to do your best.

Can I still be seen for treatment if I don't want to become a member?

Yes. You can choose to opt out of the subscription model and pay for each visit individually.

Can I get fees reimbursed through my insurance? How?

If you choose to pay for each individual appointment rather than subscribe, then yes.

You will be provided a “superbill” for each appointment. As long as you have “out-of-network” benefits, you can take this “superbill” to your insurance to initiate the reimbursement process.

Subscribers who pay a monthly fee cannot do this.

How much are your fees?

  • Monthly subscription - $150 per month

  • Initial psychiatric evaluation - $300

  • Therapy visit - $300

  • Medication management visit - $150

How much is due at the time of scheduling?

Nothing is due at the time of scheduling, but a valid form of payment is needed to be kept on file. There will be no surprise billing.

Will I have to keep a valid form of payment on file?

A valid form of payment kept on file is required for services at Naseeha Psychiatry. No charges will be made if there is a dispute. There will never be any surprise charges.

How does it work at Naseeha Psychiatry?

After a free phone consultation to get to know each other, an initial psychiatric evaluation can be booked.

Your doctor will then conduct a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, provide a diagnosis, and discuss various treatment options. Treatment options can include medicines alone, or a combination of medicines and counseling.

After that, if this practice is the appropriate level of care for you, you have the option to join the membership for a monthly fee. You can also choose to opt out of the membership and pay for each appointment individually. Follow-up visits will be scheduled at appropriate intervals to ensure you recover and stay well.

Of note, your initial visit is not an agreement to treat you. We want to make sure you receive the most appropriate level of care, and sometimes that will not be with Naseeha Psychiatry. For safety reasons, and due to the nature of this practice, we cannot provide certain forms of treatment.

Can you perform a second-opinion evaluation?

Yes. If you would like a single second-opinion evaluation without establishing a treatment relationship, this can be done for the same individual appointment fee.

After the first visit, will I have a follow-up appointment?

Your first visit is an initial evaluation/consultation, and if this practice offers the appropriate level of care for you, a follow-up visit can be scheduled. Your doctor may determine that they are not appropriately suited to provide the level of care you need. The initial consultation is not an agreement to treat you.
