Meet Dr. Riyad Rouf

About Us

Hello and welcome!  My name is Dr. Riyad Rouf.

I specialize in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry.  I focus primarily on ADHD, depression, and anxiety.  In this day and age, we all face incredible pressure to perform, accomplish certain goals, or achieve a certain status; whether at home, work, or school.  On top of that, our modern way of socializing can make it difficult to find compassionate human connections for support, and make it easy to compare ourselves to others.  Because of this, there are times we all experience negative emotions, difficulty getting things done, a diminished sense of agency and self-worth, and feelings of dread.  Some of us are particularly sensitive to this because of undiagnosed mental health issues.  In the past, asking for help with these things has been difficult.  My goal is to make it easier for you to get the help you need.

I’m passionate about empowering people to achieve their best and overcome self-doubt.  I hope to help my patients gain a better understanding about themselves, their priorities, and how it all fits into the larger context of their lives.

My Treatment Approach

I developed my passion over years of training and experience.  I saw how societal and cultural pressures affect mental health.  I also saw that our healthcare system, as it is today, is unable to address these stressors due to limitations in scope.  For this reason, I make use of the evidence-based standard of care where indicated, as well as offer solutions from complementary disciplines and philosophies.  I prescribe conservatively.  I use a direct, empowering, and solution-oriented approach to treatment.  I believe in working together towards a shared vision of wellness

My Training

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry, as well as in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.  I completed my Psychiatry Residency at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine.  I completed my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Rutgers, New Jersey Medical School.

Practice Model:

Naseeha Psychiatry is a “direct psychiatric care” practice.  Services are offered through a simple, flat, affordable monthly subscription fee.  Alternatively, patients can opt to pay for individual appointments if they prefer.  We offer counseling and medication management, in-person as well as virtual visits.
